The RPM package manager is a powerful application designed to allow building, installing, removal, and maintenance of applications on a Linux-based operating system. RPM is part of the Linux Standard Base (LSB) and used by common Linux distributions like Redhat and derivatives (CentOS), Fedora, Mandriva, and more.
